Summary

Jacklyn Jensen scored 22 points, Anna Verhaeghe chipped in 15 and Coeur d'Alene Charter beat Orofino 60-29 in the first round of the 2A District I-II tournament at Genesee on Monday night.

Coeur d'Alene Charter will play the loser of the Grangeville-St. Maries game, Wednesday night at Genesee. Orofino ends its season.

Jensen grabbed 16 rebounds and had eight blocks, and Verhaeghe pulled in 21 rebounds and dished out six assists for the Panthers, who were down three players because of illness.

Sophomore Alexis Taylor, making her first start of the season, chipped in five points and nine boards for Coeur d'Alene Charter.

Jordan Howell and Lexi Schwartz scored six points apiece to lead Orofino.
