Summary

North Central won a defensive battle 53-49 to defeat Rogers at home, and earn a No. 3 seed in the 3A district tournament. Going into the fourth quarter, North Central led 31-29, before both teams exploded, scoring more points than in the entire first half. The Indians were able to outlast the Pirates on the scoring of Riley Smith and Austen Scally. Smith had 20 points and three of the Indian's four 3-pointers, and Scally added 15 points of his own.

Melik Hampton led Rogers with 14 points, and Tate Dunbar recorded 11.

North Central will play Shadle Park in the District 8 3A, Tuesday.
