Summary

Kootenai built an early lead, then withstood a late comeback to defeat Mullan 52-44. The Warriors led 14-6 after the first quarter, but Mullan closed the gap late to only three points before KayeLee Carman hit four clutch free throws late in the fourth quarter to help seal the victory. Carman finished with 13 points. Kalli Gentry led Kootenai with 17 points and had eight rebounds. The Warriors also benefitted from clutch bench play. Alison Short came off the bench to score 12 points and five rebounds, while freshman Madison Napierala filled in for after Laci Goodson's injury early in the game and provided clutch defensive play in addition to scoring four points.
