Summary

Relief pitcher Taylor John shut down a hot Central Valley offense and visiting Lewis and Clark came from behind for an 8-7 Greater Spokane League fastpitch softball win on Tuesday.

Trailing 7-4, John relieved starting pitcher Makenna Wasteney with two outs in the bottom of the third inning and proceeded to retire the final 13 Central Valley hitters, while striking out five to earn the win.

Jenna Brandkamp had two extra-base hits and an RBI for the Tigers, who scored four runs in the top of the sixth inning to take the lead for good. Anna Budke added three hits and an RBI for LC.
