Summary

Jaya Allen had 13 strikeouts, Sarah Tiffany hit the winning double as Shadle Park slipped past visiting North Central 3-2 in a Greater Spokane League softball game on Tuesday.

Tiffany put the Highlanders ahead for good when she capped a three-run fourth inning with a two-RBI double to score Allen and Laurie Jones. Jones had singled earlier in the inning to score sister Leslie and pull Shadle within one run.

North Central jumped ahead thanks to a pair of unearned runs in the first inning. After Abby Nelson singled for NC, a Shadle throwing error allowed two runs to score for an early 2-0 Indians' lead.

Brooke Olson took the loss for NC. She had two strikeouts in the game. Allen collected her fifth win of the season.
