Summary

Coeur d'Alene Charter advanced to the State tournament after surviving a shootout with Fruitland Saturday at Lewiston.

The Grizzlies took the lead in the 19th minute on a goal from Brooke Teunissen, but the Panthers fought back and Abby Bartlett delivered the equalizer at the hour mark.

In the shootout, Bartlett, Katie Baxter, Cecelia McAfee, Brooklyn Cunningham, Rachel Hines and Marie Michalson all made kicks for Charter, and Fruitland missed their shot in the seventh round to end the match.

The Panthers will play Sugar-Salem Thursday in Twin Falls.
