Summary

Kazlyn Roullier had 14 kills and Kara Nitteberg added 11 digs and two aces, as Central Valley (25-1-1) swept University (25-4) to win their first District 8 4A volleyball title at Central Valley. University led the first game 14-12 before a pair of 5-0 runs put Central Valley in control. Keann White and Roullier had kills to polish off the second game, and the Bears scored 12 consecutive points to take a 19-12 lead in the third game. Central Valley will play Richland at 11 a.m. next Saturday in Richland for a berth to the State 4A tournament. Alex Douglas had eight kills, 10 assists and two aces for the Titans, who will play a regional match at 1 p.m. next Saturday at Richland against Tuesday's winner between Gonzaga Prep and Pasco.
