Summary

Alex Douglas had 12 kills,14 aces and three aces as University (25-3 overall) rallied past Gonzaga Prep (16-11) qualifying for the 4A regional with a 3-2 victory in the District 8 4A semifinal at Central Valley. Sarah Carpenter added 24 assists and 22 digs for the Titans, who trailed the fifth game 14-11. Carpenter's ace knotted the score at 14, and Douglas added a key block and kill in the Titans 6-1 run that closed out the finale. Tess Beschel led Gonzaga Prep with 43 assists, and Macy Collins, Rachael Meyer, and Patience O'Neal combined for 34 kills.
