Summary

After a surprisingly close start, the Colton girls opened the second half on a 29-0 run and captured its sixth-straight State 1B title with a 68-32 win over Tekoa-Oakesdale at the Arena.

Colton's Zoe Moser hit six 3-pointers and scored 26 points and Jenna Moser added 22 points.

The Nighthawks kept it close early. Mattie Jo Johnson scored 10 of her team-high 14 points in the first half, including buckets in the first and second quarters that gave Tekoa-Oakesdale one-point leads.

Colton's full-court press wore the Nighthawks down after halftime, however, and the rout was on.

The Wildcats won the three previous meetings with the Nighthawks this season by an average margin of victory of 41 points.
