Summary

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague thoroughly dominated in the final quarter and soared past Northwest Christian 55-44 in a 2B boys elimination game at the Arena.

Dylan Hartz and Ryan Whitmore both scored 13 points for the Broncos, who opened the fourth on a 12-0 run, quickly erasing the Crusaders' four-point advantage.

In the fourth, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague repeatedly passed up decent looks from beyond the arc, instead opting to work the ball down near the basket. Northwest Christian did the same, but the shots didn't fall.

Crusaders' freshman Ryan Ricks led all scorers with 17 points. Curtis Hartis added 10 points and Jeremiah Sander pulled down 14 rebounds.

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague beat Northwest Christian 49-46 in the first round of last year's state tournament.

The Broncos will play for fourth place Saturday morning at 9:30.
