Summary

Hailey Higashi drained six 3-pointers and scored 21 points as the St. George's Dragons topped the Morton-White Pass Timberwolves 50-42 at the State 2B tournament at the Arena.

The Dragons led by six at halftime and outscored Morton-White Pass 14-10 in the final period to secure the victory.

Higashi shot 7 for 13 overall and grabbed five rebounds for the Dragons, and teammate Ceci Bergquist added 16 points in the win.

Whitney Elledge scored a team-high 17 points for the Timberwolves, who will play La Conner at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.

The Dragons advance to play Colfax at 5:30 p.m Friday.
