Summary

Courtney Gray hit 9 of 10 shots and finished with 19 points and Northwest Christian overwhelmed Bear Creek 52-14 in the first round of the State 2B girls tournament at the Arena.

The Crusaders led 40-6 after three quarters.

NWC's Rachel Bozlee added 13 points and Chanel Knight chipped in 10. Bear Creek's Catherine Fernandez scored eight points.

The 14 points scored by Bear Creek set a new tournament record for least points scored. Morton-White Pass scored 15 points in a tournament game last year.

The Crusaders will play Toutle Lake in the semifinals Friday at 3:45 p.m. Bear Creek and DeSales will meet in a loser-out game at 9 a.m.
