With standout Tyler Axtell sidelined most of the first half due to foul trouble, the Rams had to rely on other sources to pull out the win. Andrew Kramer led the hosts with 18 points; Andrew Rausch scored 13 of his 16 points in the second quarter, when Riverside began to pull away, and pulled down 12 rebounds as well; and Dallas Shuler chipped in 12 more points. Jeron Konkright topped Newport with 20 points.
