Summary

Newport used a strong first half and clutch free-throw shooting down the stretch to defeat Kettle Falls 70-62. Johnathan Lyon hit three of his seven three-pointers in the first quarter, powering the Grizzlies to an early 22-11 lead. The Bulldogs clawed their way back in, but Jeron Konkright went 6-6 on free-throws in the final minute, sealing the victory. Lyon finished with 21 points; Konkright with 28. Connor McKern matched Lyon's first quarter three-pointers with three of his own and finished with 25 points for Kettle Falls.
