Summary

The Lake City Timberwolves held off a frenetic Coeur d'Alene rally for a 52-50 win in the 5A Region I boys basketball championship game Tuesday at CdA.

Kyle Guice led LC (17-5) with 13 points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots.

Tony Naccarato led CdA (17-4) with 13 points and nine rebounds.

LC advances to state, which begins March 6 at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa.

CdA plays host to Post Falls (14-8) in a game Saturday to decide a second berth to state. Tipoff is at 3.
