Summary

In a close game of small momentum swings, clutch rebounding and a timely foul-out helped Colton stave off a late rally from Garfield-Palouse to defeat the Vikings 66-60. With three minutes left to go, Jesse Lopez fouled out just as momentum was starting to shift. Lopez finished with 19 points. Colton also had a run of offensive rebounds late in the game that helped them maintain their advantage.

Jake Straughan finished with 25 points for the Wildcats, and Dalton Patchen had 22.

With the win, Colton has the second seed out of the 1B District 9 tournament going in to regionals. Garfield-Palouse has been eliminated.
