Summary

By Jordan Rodriguez, Special to The Spokesman-Review

----------

Up 17 points in the second half, victory – and a date with rival Coeur d’Alene in the 5A state title game –seemed certain for the Lewiston girls basketball team Friday night.

Instead, it was Rocky Mountain who celebrated the semifinal win, stunning the Bengals with a furious second-half rally at the Ford Idaho Center.

Noelle Aragon hit two free throws with 14.5 seconds left to give Rocky Mountain (24-1) its first lead of the game. The Grizzlies only made one field goal in the first half, but their pressure defense helped them climb back into the game as Lewiston committed 15 second-half turnovers.

Junior forward Emilee Schlader led Lewiston (21-4) with 14 points and seven rebounds.
