Hailey Higashi scored a game-high 19 points and made two key free throws with 3 seconds remaining to lead St. George's to a come-from-behind 49-46 victory over Asotin in a 2B subregional game at Mt. Spokane on Monday night.

St. George's moves on to face Dayton Friday night at Mead while the season ends for Asotin.

Down 38-35 at the end of the third quarter, St. George's used an 11-8 run to tie it at 46 before closing with three free throws, including two by Higashi. Sarah Nicholas' potential game-tying, 24-foot shot from beyond the arc bounced in and out of the rim at the buzzer.

Ceci Bergquist scored 12 points and Allison Hayes had nine rebounds for St. George's. Brielle Whittaker scored 13 points and Shanndyn Fyant added 11 for Asotin.
