Summary

Tyler Frederick scored 10 of his 18 points in the third quarter and Lind-Ritzville/Sprague rallied from a one-point halftime deficit to defeat Liberty 51-45 in a semifinal of the NE 2B District tournament at Mt. Spokane High School on Wednesday afternoon.

The Broncos will play St. George's for the championship on Saturday. Liberty will play a loser-out game against Colfax on Friday.

LRS trailed 24-23 at the half, then Frederick took over in the post, helping the Broncos to a eight-point lead through three quarters and 10 midway through the fourth. His basket with 40 seconds remaining turned back a Liberty rally, giving LRS a four-point lead.

Cort Ruzicka had 13 points (nine in the second half) and eight rebounds for the Broncos. Dylan Hartz added 10 points, seven assists and six rebounds.

Match Burnham led Liberty with 32 points and 10 rebounds.
