Martin Herford stroked 30 points as West Valley pulled away and beat visiting Timberlake 72-40 on Friday. Herford shot 10 of 18 from the floor and made 8 of 12 free throw attempts to record a season-high scoring total. The Eagles (3-2) led 30-26 at the half, but turned up the defensive pressure in the third quarter. It paid off, as WV posted a 29-9 frame. Brennen Folkins also scored in double figures with 11 and Brandon Ray snatched 12 rebounds, 10 offensive.
