Summary

For the second time this week Rogers narrowly defeated a previously undefeated top contender in the GSL, this time taking down Lewis and Clark 74-71. The teams battled to a near draw in the first half, but JJ Curry's three three-pointers in the second quarter helped give Rogers a three-point lead going in to the half. The Tigers roared back in the second half, building an eight-point lead with five minutes left in the game. The Pirates rallied, though, and Robert Rucker hit a three-pointer with 32 seconds left to put Rogers up by one. On their next possession, the Tigers drove and got fouled with 10 seconds left, but missed both free throws. Tate Dunbar got the rebound, was fouled and made both free throws. Lewis and Clark got off a last-second three-pointer, but it didn't go.

The Pirates' Melik Hampton had an outstanding performance with 18 points and nine rebounds, including five offensive rebounds. Tate Dunbar finished with 17 points, Curry with 12 (on four three-pointers) and Robert Rucker with 14 points and six assists. Isaiah Hernandez led Lewis and Clark with 18 points and Dominick Oliveri and Julian Welge each had 14.
