Summary

Brett Wyborney scored 10 points to lead a balanced attack as Cheney held off host Deer Park in a nonleague boys basketball game on Tuesday.

Ryan Medley scored nine points and JT Gould and Nicholas Hohrmon added eight apiece for the Blackhawks (2-2).

The Stags (1-2) struggled to score in the second quarter with leading scorer Nate Guske on the bench in foul trouble. Guske finished with nine points for Deer Park, which was led by Carter Countryman's game-high 13.

The Stags were able to cut the lead to two on Quinton Fletcher's only bucket of the game in the final minute, however, Cameron Hardt made the front end of a one-and-one and Cheney held on for the win.
