Summary

At North Central, the Indians topped Mead 11-8 to advance to the championship game against University. Down 6-4 in the bottom of the 4th inning, North Central coach Chuck Filippini noted that the bottom half of the Indians lineup rattled off six straight hits in the inning, driving in four runs in the process to take the lead for good. The Indians were led by Jessica Huffman, who went 2 for 3 with two doubles and two RBIs, including an RBI in the 4th inning scoring barrage. Hannah George knocked in two runs off of a two-run homer in the first inning. For the Panthers, Erin Kautzman went 4-4 with three runs scored, 2 RBIs, and a pair of doubles. Mead's regular starting pitcher Tessa Beloved was out sick for today's game.
