Summary

Two costly Ferris errors moved Kayla Burke to third base before Alison Ryan hit a sacrifice fly to score Burke and the winning run in the sixth inning as Rogers defeated the Saxons 8-7 in a Greater Spokane League slowpitch softball game Monday. Salota Hensene went 3-3 with two doubles and three RBIs for the Pirates.

Michelle Strauss hit a two-run home run in the first inning, and Narila Matherly hit a solo homer in the second to lead the Saxons.
