Summary

Erik Muelheims scored 26 points and the top-ranked Dragons routed the defending-champion Bulldogs in the boys 2B title game Saturday night at the Arena.

As was the case in their four previous meetings this season, Colfax didn't have an answer for St. George's suffocating defense. Bulldogs' star Brandon Gfeller, who averaged 22.3 points per game during the regular season, scored just five. It took him nearly 14 minutes to score his first basket.

Gfeller saw double teams and multiple defenders all game and failed to get into any kind of rhythym.

Will Tender added 13 points and Dexter Sienko chipped in nine points and 15 rebounds for the Dragons.

St. George's will have a vast majority of their team, including all of their key players, back next year.
