Summary

The Knights withstood the Red Devils' furious rally in the second half and claimed their fifth 1B boys title in the past seven years Saturday at the Arena.

Sunnyside Christian's 18-point third-quarter lead was trimmed to two late in the fourth quarter, but the Knights did just enough down the stretch to hold Neah Bay at bay.

The Red Devils struggled with the Knights' length, particularly that of 6-foot-7 forward Brian Broersma. Broersma had 11 blocks to go along with his 13 rebounds and 12 points.

Alex Brouwer added 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists for Sunnyside Christian.

Midway through the third quarter, Neah Bay started using an aggressive full-court, pressure defense. The Red Devils were able to create several turnovers that fueled their comeback.

Abraham Venske scored 10 points and Josiah Greene added nine points and eight rebounds for Neah Bay.
