Summary

Jed Zimmer led the Tigercats with 19 points as LaCrosse-Washtucna/Kahlotus used a blistering fourth-quarter shooting performance to put away Pomeroy and take home third place in the WIAA 1B Boys State Basketball tournament.

The Tigercats outscored Pomeroy 24-8 in the game's final period and 42-17 in the second half.

LaCrosse-Washtucna/Kahlotus' defense was on display as well, holding Pomeroy to just 11-of-48 shooting for the game. Cody LaMunyan was the sole Pirate to finish in double figures, scoring 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting. He added a team-high four rebounds.

Austin Summers of LaCrosse-Washtucna scored 15 points and dished a team-high three assists in the win for the Tigercats. 12 of the 24 field goals for the Tigercats were assisted.
