Summary

Pe Ell withstood a late charge from Morton-White Pass to take home third place in the WIAA 2B Girls State Basketball tournament.

After missing two crucial free throws a night before in a crippling loss to Northwest Christian, Pe Ell's Sami Robinson made both her attempts with 7.1 seconds left to give the Trojans a four-point lead and the eventual victory.

Kylie Allen's only shot attempt of the game for the Timberwolves was a 3-pointer with 8.1 seconds left to bring Morton-White Pass within two, but Robinson's free throws put the game out of reach.

Robinson led the Trojans with 18 points and three assists and was a perfect 7-of-7 from the free-throw line. Whitney Elledge and Ashley Kelly both scored in double figures for the Timberwolves with 14 and 12 points, respectively.
