La Conner used a 22-11 fourth quarter and a game-high 28 points from Spencer Novak to come from behind and defeat Northwest Christian for fourth place in the WIAA 2B Boys State Basketball championship.
Northwest Christian led 53-39 in the fourth quarter before La Conner stormed back and took the lead for good. La Conner made 15 of their 20 second-half free-throw attempts in a game featured nine ties and 13 lead changes.
Novak was 10-of-12 from the free-throw line and added seven rebounds, three assists and two steals. Nick Kiourkas led the Crusaders with 18 points and Jeremiah Sander scored 16 on 7-of-11 shooting.
