Summary

Tyler McCaulley set a WIAA 1B Boys State Basketball tournament-record with eight 3-pointers in a single game and Neah Bay used a hot-shooting night to take care of LaCrosse-Washtucna/Kahlotus and advance to the championship game.

McCaulley hit 8-of-12 3-pointers and 10-of-15 overall for a game-high 29 points. Teammate DeShawn Halttunen scored 21 points and collected six rebounds.

The Red Devils hit on 52.8 percent of their field-goal attempts while holding the Tigercats to just 39.7 percent. Neah Bay also produced at the free-throw line, making all eight of their fourth quarter attempts and 13-of-20 overall.

Jed Zimmer led the Tigercats in both points and rebounds with 20 and eight, respectively. Darcy Stamper parlayed an 8-of-8 night from the free-throw line into 16 points.
