Summary

Brady Ellis led Colfax with 17 points and nine rebounds as the Bulldogs pulled away from Wahkiakum in the second half to advance to the WIAA 2B Boys State Basketball championship game.

Brandon Gfeller scored 16 points and was a perfect 6-of-6 from the free-throw line. 13 of his points came in the second half and he led all players with four assists.

Gfeller's 3-pointer with 5:00 left in the fourth quarter from beyond NBA range put the Bulldogs up by eight and capped a 23-5 run that began at the end of the first half.

The Mules were held to just 11 second-half points and converted on four of their 22 shot attempts in the third and fourth periods. Peter Weiler led Wahkiakum with 13 points and Eli McElroy grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds.
