Summary

Jonathan Morris scored 19 points and the Crusaders rallied after a slow start and beat the Timberwolves in a 2B boys consolation game Friday at the Spokane Arena.

Morton-White Pass led 25-14 early in the second quarter before Northwest Christian slowly got back into the game.

Late in the fourth, Tyler Stephens was fouled after grabbing an offensive rebound and sank two free throws with 19.8 seconds left to give the Crusaders a 61-56 lead.

Kalen Dunlap, who scored a game-high 20 points, nailed a 3-pointer with 8 seconds left to bring the Timberwolves within two points at 61-59. Following a Northwest Christian free throw, Zach Walton had a chance to tie it for Morton-White Pass, but his 3-pointer at the buzzer was off the mark.

Nick Kiourkas added 13 points and Austin Friedly chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds for Northwest Christian. The Crusaders will La Conner in Sautrday's fourth/sixth-place game. The Timberwolves were eliminated.
