Summary

The Trojans held the Crusaders to 24.4 percent shooting, including 17.4 percent in the first half, and forced 18 turnovers to move into the trophy round for the first time.

Pe Ell, whose only other appearance at the State B tournament was in 1999, never trailed. Kayla Capps came off the bench to hit 4 of 7 shots, including both her 3-pointers, for 10 points in support of Ashley Shepherd, who had 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting. Those two carried a big load as the Trojans shot just 33 percent.

Tacoma Baptist was outrebounded 37-26, including 7-5 on the offensive glass. The Crusaders didn't have anyone score more than seven points.
