Summary

The Kings were red-hot from the field and their scrambling defense frustrated the Lions and now they'll play for their first state trophy in their second appearance.

Muckleshoot Tribal shot 60 percent in the first half to open a 30-17 lead and barely let down with a 55.6 percent second half. Ryan Oldman led the way with 18 points to go with a game-high 10 rebounds. Preston Brown came off the bench to score 15 points, hitting five of seven 3-pointers. Sean Taei had 11 points.

The Lions, one of the pretournament favorites, shot 27 percent in the first half and only improved to 30.8 in the second. They appeared poised to make a run when Joe Timofeyev converted a four-point play at the end of the third quarter to finally get MLC inside 10 at 46-40 but the Kings didn't crack.

Timofeyev led the Lions with 25 points, hitting 10 of 15 free throws, and Conner Webb added 12 but for just the second time in six appearances MCL goes home without a trophy.
