Luke Blankenbeckler and Lucas Peterson combined for 29 points and seven assists and Bear Creek (23-5) used a 12-3 run over the final six minutes of regulation to pull away for the 54-43 win over Colfax (23-5) in their third-place battle.
Brandon Gfeller paced the Bulldogs with 16 points and J.J. Robinson added 10 but the usually sharp-shooting duo went just 10 of 23 from the field in the game.
Colfax shot 30.5 percent for the game, including 6 of 30 from beyond the arc.
After leading by as many as nine to start the game, Bear Creek watched the Bulldogs almost come all the way back. A Gfeller 3-pointer with 4:43 remaining in the third quarter gave the Bulldogs a brief 29-28 lead.
Colfax would only lead once more in the game as the Grizzlies weathered the comeback and pushed their own lead back to 11 points late in the fourth quarter.
Erik Domas and Ryan Strandin tallied a combined 16 points and 17 rebounds for BC, which used its superior size to grab a 35-29 edge in rebounding, scoring eight second-chance points. Justin Berarducci led Colfax in rebounding with eight, adding eight points.
