Summary

Nathan Richards and Flash Hodges combined for 16 first-half points and the Rosalia Spartans (24-2) built a 24-point halftime lead, cruising to a 65-26 win against Lummi (17-8) in their State 1B fourth-place game.

Richards finished with a team-high 12 points and seven rebounds and Damian Loucks added 10 points off the bench for the Spartans, who made sure an opening-round loss to Neah Bay did not end their season on a sour note.

After losing to the Red Devils, Rosalia won its next two games by a combined score of 115 to 52.

The Blackhawks, who beat Mt. Rainier Lutheran Friday to advance to the trophy round, could not get untracked in the opening half, hitting just 4 of their first 21 shots. The struggles continued in the second as they scored just five points in the third quarter.

Jeremy Roberts led Lummi with six points, hitting a pair of 3-pointers in the second half.

Rosalia shot 49 percent from the field in its final game, getting eight points and four assists from D.J. Brown.
