Summary

David Lorton scored the first eight points of the third quarter and finished with 20 for the game, going 5 of 13 from 3-point range, as the Tigers slugged their way into the championship finals, knocking off the Bear Creek Grizzlies in their semifinal game.

Colton Brown added 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Tigers, who used Lorton's run in the third to build an 18-point lead.

Bear Creek managed to pull within eight halfway through the fourth quarter, using a 3-point shot by Luke Blankenbeckler to cap an 11-0 run. At that point, the Grizzlies ran out of steam and Brown's breakaway layup with 1:30 left pushed the Napavine lead back to double digits for good at 47-36.

The Grizzlies were led by Lucas Peterson's 11 points, but only got two from Ryan Strandin, who tallied 18 in the Grizzlies' opening round win against Waitsburg-Prescott.

Napavine will play for the state title against Northwest Christian, while the Grizzlies will face Colfax in the third-place tilt.
