Summary

Cole Ramey hit 7 of 8 free throw attempts in the final minute and scored a game-high 19 point to go with six rebounds as the Crusaders beat the Bulldogs for the third time in four chances this season.

The Bulldogs, who have lived or died by the 3-point shot were 3 of 17 from beyond the arc for the game, shooting just 32 percent from the floor. NWC was not much better, shooting 34.8 percent, but they hauled in 39 rebounds, including 14 on the offensive end. The Bulldogs managed just 23 boards.

Led by Ramey's nine points in the opening half, the Crusaders built a four-point halftime lead. Colfax would get no closer the rest of the game, getting as close as four on several occasions in the second half.

In the last minute of regulation, the Bulldogs sent the Crusaders to the line 10 times with the Crusaders converting all but one of those attempts to keep the Bulldogs at bay.

Northwest Christian will play for the state title tomorrow at 9 p.m., while Colfax will play for third place at 11:15 a.m.
