Summary

Nathan Richards came a block shy of a triple double, scoring 27 points to go with 11 rebounds and nine blocks as the Spartans pulled away early against the Kodiaks to advance to Saturday's fourth-place game.

Richards had 17 points and nine boards at the break to help Rosalia take a 37-12 halftime lead, going on a 15-3 run to start the second quarter.

Columbia Adventist was paced by five points and seven rebounds from Tevita Palaki. But the Spartans held CA to just 19.3 percent shooting from the floor.

Rosalia, meanwhile shot 49.2 percent, led by Richards, who was an efficient 12 of 20 shooting. The Spartans also won the rebounding battle 47-33, getting 17 offensive boards.

The Spartans will battle Lummi at 9:30 a.m. for fourth place.
