Rebecca Thompson poured in 23 of her 27 points in the first half and added seven rebounds to lead the Red Devils to their first win in the Hardwood Classic.

Despite scored 18 more points than in their first-round loss, the Owls could not overcome a 23-point halftime deficit, getting eliminated from the tournament. Linda Cook tallied 15 points and 13 rebounds and Hannah Frost added five points and 11 boards for the Owls in the loss.

Thompson was the catalyst in the early going for Neah Bay, scoring 12 of the Red Devils' 23 points in the first quarter. She accounted for all but 15 of their first half points.

Thompson chipped in 10 of NB's 20 steals as MMK turned the ball over 33 times in the game. The Owls managed just 15.6 percent from the floor.
