Relentless on defense and on the boards, Neah Bay continued Rosalia’s State 1B boys basketball frustration..

The Red Devils’ intense all-court defensive pressure kept the Spartans (22-2) out of their comfort zone and, combined with their rebounding eventually, wore them down in the the final 1 minute, 30 seconds of the game.

Score was tied 39-39 before Neah Bay (21-5) hit two baskets, then scored six points in the game’s final 32 seconds, including 4-for-4 at the free throw line for the win.

Drexler Dougherty took 29 shots and although he only made six, was a catalyst with three 3-pointers and late free throws for 18 points.

Nathan Richards, battling inside for 14 rebounds and taking a beating, led Rosalia with 21 points, He had 16 of Rosalias 18 points in the second half, and was 11-for-13 from the free throw line.
