SS Cape San Juan
Nov. 11, 1943. 78 years ago, the day that would become known as “Veteran’s Day” was just another Thursday aboard the SS Cape San Juan’s sophomore voyage as the blacked out, unaccompanied ship zig-zagged towards Townsville, Australia from San Francisco to transport U.S. troops.
