This fledgling Cooper’s hawk was treated at the PAWS Wildlife Center in Lynnwood, Washington, after it apparently jumped from its nest in a towering cedar tree in Seattle during last month’s heat wave. Animal rehabilitation centers across the region were flooded with dozens of ailing baby birds.
