Child care in Spokane
Lack of child care nationwide was a problem before COVID-19 hit, but it's become even more of an issue now. Legislators are trying to fix that with the Fair Start for Kids Act, a legislative package that attempts to address the shortage, lack of accessibility and rising costs of child care.
