1988 Monsters of Rock concert
1988's Monsters of Rock was one of the biggest concerts in Spokane history. It took place at Joe Albi Stadium on a hot August day. Local concert promoters have asked the Spokane Schools board to allow beer and wine sales for one last event at the venerable Joe Albi Stadium in Spokane before the stadium is torn down and rebuilt. Could it be another major rock concert like the Monsters of Rock? The school board will take up the request Tuesday night, Jan. 7, 2020.
