The Thomas S. Foley United States Courthouse, aka the federal building, at left, was built in the 1960s. The previous federal building at right, more commonly called the downtown Post Office, at right, was built in 1909 in Federal neo-classical style, reflecting the difference in government architecture in the 60 or so years in between. The building at left recently passed 50 years of age and will be considered for the National Register of Historic Places. Shown Tuesday, May 21, 2019.
