Marshall Creek Estates proposal

A proposal to build 415 homes on undeveloped, forested land in southwest Spokane is making its way through City Hall, as its developer seeks permission to divide 83 acres of land owned by Fairmont Memorial Park into a suburban neighborhood.

Developers would like to create a neighborhood similar to Eagle Ridge, at right, to the left of, and west of, Cedar Road in southwest Spokane County if plans come to fruition. The land, sloping down to Spokane Memorial Gardens cemetery on Cheney-Spokane Road, is owned by Fairmount Memorial Association, which controls the cemetery.
