1954 - Jacobsen’s Bakery purchased a new fleet of vans from Buchanan Chevrolet in downtown Spokane. Jacobsen’s was started by Olaf Jacobsen in 1889 at 617 N. Ash St. Olaf died in 1946 and the bakery was being run by his five sons and one daughter.

2019 - The corner of Third Avenue and Wall Street was once the main showroom of Buchanan Chevrolet, which was started by R.G. “Buck” Buchanan in 1937, after he bought Barton Chevrolet and renamed it after himself. Buchanan died in 1971 and the business sold in 1975. It closed in the early 1980s.
