Super Typhoon Yutu
Some images from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration show the moment the eye of Super Typhoon Yutu passed directly over Tinian Island, one of three main islands of the U.S. Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. On Friday, a day after the strongest recorded typhoon to hit a U.S. territory devastated the Mariana Islands , leaving homes built to withstand typhoons in crumbles and one confirmed dead, residents are facing months of recovery without power and water.
