Vice President Mike Pence visits Spokane
Vice President Mike Pence called U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers “one of the most important voices in Washington, D.C.” during a campaign luncheon for the Republican congresswoman Tuesday afternoon at the Spokane Convention Center. After stumping for a GOP Senate candidate in Bozeman, Montana, on Tuesday morning, Pence landed at the Spokane International Airport aboard Air Force Two in the afternoon. He then spoke at the convention center to raise money for McMorris Rodgers as she works to stave off a challenge from Democrat Lisa Brown, while throngs of protesters chanted outside.
